Welcome to the web page of Trinity York Rite College #154

Come back often, as we build the content for this informational site

Trinity York Rite College U. D. was begun early in the winter of 1991. It was chartered by the York Rite Sovereign College of North America at its General Assembly in Anaheim, CA, on August 3, 1991.
Leslie L. Coone is our Charter Governor.
Trinity York Rite College No 154 was constituted at the Arlington Masonic Temple, Arlington, TX, on September 21, 1991, by the then presiding Governor General, the Most Preeminently Distinguished Brother Harold D. Elliott 2nd.

Trinity began with 127 charter members and now has 165 members, as of the last report.
Membership in the College is by invitation only. Basic requirements for membership is current membership in the four York Rite Bodies: Masonic Lodge, Chapter of Royal Arch Masons, Council of Royal and Select Masters and Commandery of Knights Templar; and recommendation by a member of the College.

The basic premise of the York Rite College is to promote the York Rite of Freemasonry. We offer assistance, if requested, to the various York Rite bodies in conferring degrees and orders, sponsoring schools of instruction, festivals, conferences, etc.

The Sovereign College of North America was begun in January 1957 in Detroit, MI. There are now 186 Colleges in the United States, Canada and the Phillipines. Texas has 12 Colleges, the most of any state or province except Ontario, Canada, which has 13. Most Colleges have memberships of 100 or less. Pennsylvania #11, Texas #14, Connecticut #17, Golden Triangle #32(PA), Gulf Coast #106(TX), Marvin L. Isley #129(IN), having 200 or more. Trinity is striving to achieve that distinction.

Our meetings are on the 5th Tuesday of those months having 5th Tuesdays, except December and January, the 4th Tuesday in January and the 3rd Saturday in May, which is our annual meeting for electing and installing officers, conferring degrees and finalizing business for the year. Other meetings may be called as necessary. Meeting places will generally vary.
